Abstract :
Industrial enterprises release submicron semi-volatile oily aerosols and solid particles into the environment during production processes, leading to corrosion of industrial equipment, air pollution, and significant health issues for workers. However, due to characteristics such as small particle size, and easy adherence to surfaces, the removal of these particles from the air has become a crucial process. Although fibrous filters are commonly used materials to separate particles from the air, separating submicron particles with both high filtration efficiency and low resistance remains challenging. Additionally, the primary composition of current air filter materials relies heavily on synthetic polymers derived mainly from petroleum, contributing to the growing ecological threat posed by synthetic waste accumulation. Significant efforts have been initiated regarding the recycling of these materials. In this study, entirely recycled nanofibrous environments were produced using an innovative method of producing nanofibers from recycled acrylic yarns. Consequently, a nanofibrous filter surface was obtained with a high quality factor of 0.051 1/Pa and an efficiency of 88.75% against NaCl particles, and a quality factor of 0.035 1/Pa with an efficiency of 83.24% against paraffin oil.
