Abstract :
The textile sector is a sector that has a fairly wide production network, uses water intensively and has a high waste water load. These effluents consist of processes such as dyeing, bleaching and washing. The recovery of consumed and discarded water in this sector has become a very important issue. There are studies related to wastewater recovery and wastewater decolorization in the literature. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the UV/Hydrogen peroxide (UV/H2O2) method in the purification of two different baths, the navy blue coloring bath and the coloring bath containing salt + soda belonging to the company RB KARESI. At the same time, it was requested to explain the effect of auxiliary chemicals on the process. The decolorization of the wastewater selected from the production was provided within the parameters determined by the UV/H2O2 process, and the results were evaluated by determining the % reduction values of the samples.
