Abstract :
Garments manufacturers are trying intensely to meet the obstacles by setting in motion production engineering and technological upgrade. The garments factory is the dominant driving wheel of the economy of Bangladesh. The manufacturing unit is arrogating efficient production plans and acquiring separate category of benefits. A practical survey was done directly on individual people of the manufacturing factory to appreciate the recent situation and lack of efficient production planning in the factory. The study is conducted to 50 garments factories selected from separate industrial area like Gazipur, Savar, Narayanganj in Bangladesh. Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) score is calculated by dividing all the positive responses by the total number of responses and multiplying by 100 using the five-point Likert scale. The study has considered job or task scheduling, material resource planning, facility location, capacity planning, line planning, follow-up, inspection and, team work and attempted to detect how they can impact on lead time, profit margin, etc. through efficient production planning. By using statistical survey found some key factors are found which facilitate production in the RMG industry. The findings of the research will assist to construct well-ordered production plan in the garments industry of Bangladesh. The study attempts to show the impact of efficient production planning on material resources, finances, human resources (production) and human resources (morale). Finally, this thesis climax with a analysis and the widespread culmination from the survey result.
